I was just reading a thread on Reddit about apparently "cursed" or haunted tapes from the 90's Memphis rap scene. I don't believe in any shit like that obviously but some people genuinely refuse to listen to them because the recordings are allegedly haunted by the souls of the murder victims of the rappers/producers behind the tapes. Has anyone heard any of these urban legends? It's super interesting to me


Obviously I had to check that shit out and they sound pretty dope, these are the main ones people cited

Admittedly the cover/vibe of the first one is genuinely kind of creepy lol but in a cool way (and typical for that sound)

 

It makes a lot of sense that stuff like that would exist in the Memphis rap scene, but I had never heard of that either. That’s awesome.
