Follow the Format is possibly their best b-side. Love that song.

Think there's any sort of connection between the Follow the Format bridge and Another Word for Desperate by straylight?

"What's another word for (I don't need to hear it from you)"
    "What's another word for desperate"

thanks for posting this, awesome. I love how active this thread is again. that being said I think I prefer the album version in this case, just benefits from that bigger sound, but for the most part I am very much inclined towards the demos from the s/t era lol

I am going to shamelessly promote myself and I apologize in advance because it usually drives me nuts when people do this, but I wrote this piece 4 years ago when I saw TBS on the TW tour. It's one of the best things I've written, IMO, but I have nobody to share it with because like 3 of my friends like TBS. It sums up everything I've been thinking reading through this discussion, from them becoming a bit of a nostalgia act/trying not to be:

I could make an argument that Happiness Is and Tidal Wave are the best records they have written. However, TAYF and WYWTB will always remain my favorite.

That said, 35-year-old me would much rather listen to HI and TW than their earlier stuff.

I hope we at least see Fred and Matt onstage with them again one day, even if it’s just a one-off performance.

I’ll say it every TBS thread, bummed we never got a properly recorded version of this song, especially since the audio is so shitty, haha.

My favorite song of their is probably "Miami", but there are days where it's their actual best non-album track "Your Own Disaster"

Yeah I'm of the opinion that their last two albums are the band's best work. Each has quite a few stand out songs that are my favorites by the band. That being said the first two are still two of my favorite albums of all time for pure nostalgia if nothing else.

The follow up to TAYF with the same line up would have been huge.

They should bring Fred back as Eddie's replacement.

The band kicked him out because they felt he was too controlling iirc. I think I remember hearing he wanted a little more compensation too because he claimed to have written most of LN while the guys just goofed around, but who knows really
