  1. Hope they have some good organizers and advisors with them or on the phone. This kinda collective action is gonna be very hard to sustain and keep everyone together.

I dont even think its necessarily bad if the agreement is to stay and play, but man i am more hopeful than ive been that this may do something either way.

I just don't see how this league can actually cause change... like it was said before, the rich owners will put money in towards whatever the players want, but at the end of the day still really run things with likely no real change done.

How'd the jersey quotes go? Lots of progress to be made by (and outside of) the league. Never said not do anything, but... at the end of the day, real actions are what's needed.

I typically am as much of a pessimist as to feel the same way, honestly, jersey quotes, pre game BLM shirts, what can they really do, but nobody has done jack shit. Thats the point. Companies, organizations, theyve all made super nice videos on twitter and facebook to say Black Lives Matter, but there is no action. It has been shown.

It was a known mentality that players were hesitant to join the bubble because they felt they were better suited to activism at the moment, and i think a lot of if not all the players who traveled did so assuming the platform might still inspire, and it hasnt.

Sure, a few NBA teams boycotting a Thursday afternoon’s programming might not move the needle, as they say, but what if it’s more? What if this is the beginning of an entertainment-wide boycott? What if this is the real beginning of something? It seems dangerous to poo poo it because we havent necessarily seen it work before.

  23. It’s entirely possible this leads to absolutely nothing, unfortunately.
But it was worth it strictly off the chance that this might be a beginning to something. And I think that’s what matters the most tbh.
