To ease your mind, in the state of Wisconsin you relinquish the ability to use a self defense claim if you are doing illegal acts in the process. The dipshit here was unlawfully brandishing a weapon in public, illegally carrying a weapon, and a few other things (aside from the murder of course).

 

You think there aren’t exceptions though? Like if you trespass across someone’s lawn and they attack you with a knife you can’t defend yourself? If there’s any way to claim self defense this guy’s trial is going to be an absolute circus. Our media will only fuel this shit.

 

I’m not convinced that his lawyers (who will likely be bankrolled by right wing groups) won’t get him off and he sues the city for defamation and wrongful arrest and he becomes president in 20 years.
