Second album from King Gizzard this year, I couldn't get into Fishing for Fishies but really like this thrashy style they're doing on this album.

 

These guys are so hard to keep up with but I’m really digging Self-Immolate

 

This is out today. It's solid. Enjoying it a lot.

Not too crazy about this one. But I appreciate that they are ambitious enough to try all kinds of styles.

 

I dig it, Perihilion and Superbug are my favorites

 

THRASH ME

 

Mars for The Rich has such a bad ass vibe. Makes me want to ride a motorcycle

 

Superbug is so Sabbath

 

Where would you all recommend I start if I'm trying to begin listening to this band. All I know about them is that their albums are like all very very different? Right? Is there like one big one or do i just pick one and go

 

Only one I've heard is the newest but it's pretty rockin and has me interested to hear others.

 

This and Nonagon Infinity are my favorites but admittedly I haven’t listened to them all

 

You all took too long so I started with Flying Microtonal Banana. It was a fun listen. Going to listen to I'm in Your Mind Fuzz, then the new one.

 

It depends what you're into as their style changes up with each album. I personally dig the more proggy/psychedelic stuff, Nonagon Infinity, Polygondwanaland (which is totally free by the way, you could even press your own copies and sell them if you want) and Rats Nest are my favorites. Murder Of The Universe is really dope but I don't love the constant narration.

The problem with releasing 5 full lengths in a year is each album has a lot of duds IMO, I typically love ~5 songs on each full length and end up skipping the others.

 

This album is a little too relevant right now

i wonder if they'll get someone new or just go with one drummer

 

Finally got around to listening to these guys at the end of last year, and they have made this year just so much better. I just can not not be happy when listening to these guys. They instantly become my favorite band ever. I’ve been listening to them just nonstop for the last 8 months and I have not gotten tired of it at all. Love every single album. Love all of the art, the visuals, the music videos. Even diving into the Gizzverse has made it all that much more awesome.
