I wish they would refer to specific songs and such in these conversations, but I like how as peers and friends they’ve obviously talked and shared information over the years (like discussing producers and equipment).

I never realized Gil Norton produced my favorite album by both these bands.

 

I also never realized Gil Norton produced some incredible Pixies and Foo Fighters albums. This guy's great.

 

He also produced Recovering the Satellites by Counting Crows, which rips.

Ben Gibbard is the man. I got to meet him during an ultra marathon about a year ago and all we talked about was running. Not one word about music other than me saying "Hi Ben, Im a big fan of yours! How are you feeling?" haha. Super grounded guy.

Through is such a good song.

 

Really enjoying these, especially the Ben episode.

Would like to see him do some with some more lowkey artists too, someone like Barry from Joyce Manor who he was going to be touring with, or Brian from The Front Bottoms.

For real - the guests are absolutely unreal and I find every conversation interesting and they aren't rehashing nearly anything. Tegan and Ben are easily my favorite so far.

 

What happened to the Tegan episode? I was halfway through and it went private?

 

Hmmm. I wonder? Do you know what the run time on it was? I have the audio version downloaded on overcast. It runs 57:28. Maybe they said a song title or something unreleased?
