The fact that his career has gone largely unscathed (and I’d say doing just fine if he’s also really in the acting business) is so disappointing. It’s been YEARS and nothing. Bands in the scene still working with him while fully knowing what he did. Disgusting.

Both Blaise and Harry are credited as stunt doubles on this movie, as well as a Ned Corrigan. Looks like a lot of the family is in the business. Definitely seems like they are related or father/son.

Apparently some people have been calling out Harry on his post he made today on Instagram about the new band and he's been deleting those comments, because of course he is. Hasn't changed one bit all these years later.

Booking Don Broco and With Confidence after there have been allegations against them out for at least a few years really sucks. Also, I wish more diversity/women were given opportunities in punk, especially at these festivals. This lineup just feels so male dominated. (Stand Atlantic, Dream Wife, and Creeper are three great punk bands with women in them who all released albums this year, for example)

tbh that almost seems like they were going for AbuserFest

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t see one woman or POC in any band in that lineup.

We Are The In Crowd and Doll Skin I noticed on a quick glance through. I don't know what members makes up most of the bands on the list though so not sure if there's more.

  12. Code Orange as well, I believe. Unsure about others.

    It's sad regardless.

Code Orange and Yours Truly were the only other two I noticed. 4 out of the 60+ acts on the lineup is not great...

  14. Meanwhile, all of the women in these groups named so far are either white or white passing/benefit from colorism.

I'm not sure how many of these bands have men of color in them, but it isn't enough.

Looks like Wargasm is a two piece with a woman in the duo. Still, that's only 5 and most of them are at the bottom of the lineup/poster. The POC representation also seems sparse, which is definitely disappointing. The pop punk/metalcore scene still has a long way to go in terms of equal representation for all, and it sucks that in 2020 it doesn't exist and lineups nearly full of white men still exist.

There's a great Instagram account called @bookmorewomen (although it hasn't been active in recent months, likely due to the pandemic) that posts festival lineup posters with only the acts that have women in them (so minus the male-only bands), and it's really eye opening how male dominated festival lineups truly are.

    Things have changed.

Off the top of my head, Sum 41, Billy Talent, Issues, Dance Gavin Dance have POC in them. Not many!

    Hey. Supporter

Sum 41 and This Wild Life have a POC

    Vukovi is women-led as well

3OH!3 had a female touring drummer - this depends on who they’re touring with as of 2021, but they used to have Jess from The Summer Set

Regarding LGBT+ rep, The Used, Issues, and Trash Boat are the most notable.

I think the fact that you can count on one or two hands the amount of women, POCs, and LGBT folks on this lineup shows just how far we have to go.

It's not a lot but there are some there. Going through the lineup without researching:

    Bands with a POC -
    Sum 41
    Bill Talent
    Issues
    This Wild Life

    Women in the band:
    Code Orange
    We are the In Crowd
    Dream State
    VUKOVI
    Doll Skin
    Wargasm
    Yours Truly

LGBT wise, The Used, Issues and Trash Boat have LGBT+ members.

Don't get me wrong, it isn't great, but this isn't the final lineup, just the bands from last year who can still play. Stand Atlantic dropped out, and Creeper will probably take their place, and I can see Milk Teeth and Nervus playing too. I'll wait until the final lineup to pass judgement.

  22. I'm just tired of massive lineups where MY pasty butt would be the only non-white non-man on the whole damn thing. (Again, some of these women could be passing but that's not super helpful in terms of visibility.)

    Very, very tired of it.

This is fair, and should be represented better. I know The Skints have played a fair bit in the past but that's still only 1 non-male POC which is pretty rough.

Thinking about it, I can't think of any other bands that have non male POC's in from the UK scene right now, which is something I'll honestly say I haven't thought about before, and kind of shocked me.

There are plenty from the US though who I’m sure would be more than happy to play if asked, but it being an issue in the UK definitely sucks.

Edit: Big Joanie is one I can think of off the top of my head.
