The Spidey villains in the mcu have been such well cast that I don’t see how they can match Keaton and Gyllenhaal, but we’ll see.

I get so much more excited at this point thinking about how these Spider-Man characters can crossover & spinoff, than I do thinking about any other Marvel characters showing up in Spider-Man.

Once the Fantastic Four get going, if a version of the Sony/Marvel deal is running at that point, I'll wanna see them crossover. And, a Daredevil appearance someday could also be fun. But, otherwise, I just don't feel any excitement about more Iron Man, Nick Fury, & Happy.

If Spidey's gonna show up in one of Marvel's current crop of films (which, I think that most recent contracted appearance would have to be in the next 2-3 yrs), the only one there that really interests me is Doctor Strange. And, not because I think Spider-Man needs to be with those characters in that story; I just would like to see Sam Raimi have access to that IP again, all these years later. Could see it being Ant-Man, though, as a way to boost general audiences' interest in that franchise.

    Eh...

Captain Marvel in a Spider-Man film would eat up all the oxygen of that film, which I'm personally tired of happening to Spidey films. And, there are so many characters I'd personally rather see in a Captain Marvel film first (Rogue, Ms Marvel, Monica Rambeau, SWORD, Alpha Flight); Peter would particularly take away from a role Kamala could have there.

That's understandable. I just love their friendship in the comics. Would love to see any of those characters you mentioned as well.

like JC Chandor a lot. there’s a non zero chance we get Oscar Isaac Kraven the Hunter, which rules.

I love Oscar Isaac & think he could bring something cool to the character. My one hang up with that suggestion is that Kraven being from an old Russian family & having pride in that is a big part of his character. If you massage some of the details, though, I guess it could work.

Isaac would be a great Kraven and he needs redemption at another marvel role after Apocalypse. As for Kraven being in a mcu film and Sony film, it is possible since Toomes will be in both with morbius.

One of the few movies that I have no problem rewatching over and over and still love it every time. Just rewatched it last weekend actually.

I feel like GOTG 1&2, Endgame, Homecoming, Iron Man, and Ragnarok are the only MCU films I've seen multiple times.

Thought the first one was boring, but I've been meaning to rewatch Winter Soldier. Really enjoyed that one. Civil War had some good moments

Guardians 2 is the best Marvel Studios film, but Thor: Ragnarok might be the most fun to just randomly throw on.

Iron Man 3 as well. Might be the one I’ve seen the most, honestly?

Do you think that a romantic Captain Marvel and Spiderman relationship will occur in the MCU?

Considering Peter is a highschool kid and that she was fighting crime while he was in diapers, seems unlikely haha

I can’t stop crying. Just thinking about all those poor kids who are gonna wake up in the morning and hear about this. He was a true hero to millions of people and he made them so happy despite fighting this.

    A true fucking hero.

As I've sat on this news, there are very few deaths of public figures that've impacted me at a comparable level. (Chester Bennington 'cause I grew up with & still quite enjoy Linkin Park; Darwyn Cooke 'cause he was my favorite working comics creator at the time.) Just really feeling this loss right now in a way I didn't expect, I guess in part 'cause it was so... sudden. Was really looking forward to seeing more of T'Challa's story; after Da 5 Bloods, was also looking forward to the range of roles he was gonna get to play.

I dunno, just feels like I took for granted that he had a lot more ahead of him, between critically acclaimed performances & headlining Marvel's biggest non-Avengers hit. And, didn't appreciate enough the man he was off the screen; love his Howard University speech from a couple years ago, & how he valued & took seriously his role in pop culture.

(This last part is about Marvel going forward, which I find to be a helpful outlet for my feelings. If you're not down to engage that right now, or if you're on the other hand an asshole who's thinking about the franchise instead of the good man we lost, just keep scrolling.)

Really hope Marvel takes their time with how to tell the next chapter of the Wakanda's story, since they've got plenty to work with in the meantime, & hopefully whatever sequel honors Chadwick well. I don't mean that in the cynical long term way (anyone who's read a comic or a Wiki can tell you, for example, Shuri could one day take that mantle), but like, what creative next step will honor him best? Surely you don't pull that cobbled together Carrie Fisher shit again, or leave Wakanda dormant for a long time, or even entertain the thought of recasting in a couple years. Maybe develop a spinoff that can be a love letter to his legacy without having to directly address that character for a long time? Obviously his friends & peers are gonna mourn him for a while before starting that conversation, but dang, just really hope the choice the studio makes eventually is the right one.
