B&C were nonexistent on Twitter for weeks/months up until the album rollout, that's so strange

Speaking of Twitter drama the guitarist from Man Overboard blocked me today after me and several others called him out for being sexist so that was dope.

And yeah Jack was a genuinely not good person who screwed over several users from AP

and he posted pictures of the fact that they have just been spamming gifs and @ing everyone on their list with "shout out to _________"


Then they started tweeting at him with stuff like "you're a fucking poser" and what not. All of it is deleted now because obviously someone in their camp isn't an idiot and told them that professionalism goes a long way.

 

I've always been curious what happened between Jack and AbsolutePunk. He just disappeared from there and now I see people saying he's a bad person? I'm not saying I don't believe you guys but I never personally saw him do anything wrong over on AP

 

he's said some gross things and screwed over some users. people know the details more than me but yeah, he's done some legitimately bad shit

 

Mmhmm. Was just telling Mike about this in a text but yeah, said some very sexist and gross stuff, was genuinely manipulative and toxic to many users (I really remember him being a dick to you Casey) and just being a bad fit for the site in general. Also really condescending which didn't help

Oh wow. I always enjoyed his reviews and he always seemed to promote good up and coming bands so I followed him on twitter after he disappeared from AP. This is pretty disappointing to learn

 

i mean he disappeared for a reason, jason fired him for being a piece of shit

 

wish the people standing up for him on twitter knew what he's really like

 

I was a lurker but I do remember that haha. God damn. Dude threw a hissy fit to end all hissy fits.

Then he said something suuuuuper sexist on Twitter about female fronted bands not being important or something like that and Jason slammed his ass then too

 

He basically said that Craig Owens' girlfriend's band was only on warped because of her relationship with Craig

 

People, you need to tell all your friends that he's a bad person

That's what it was! To which Jason replied with "another day I'm happy as fuck to have fired you" and I'll be god damned if I didn't fist pump all the way home after reading that

 

I mean I don't know if I qualify in that group of people because I
1. follow him on twitter
2. think B&C were in the wrong today.

I don't know him personally and that shouldn't have any bearing on my belief that a band shouldn't attack people on social media. Several bands have been called out for the same behavior on this site and other sites, so to me its more surprising that people are willing to defend them just because they don't like the person that is the subject of their behavior.

Like i said before, obvious someone in their camp was smart enough to realize they looked like assholes and had them delete the tweets.

 

I honestly didn't know if he got fired or quit so I had no reason to believe he was a terrible person. I spent some time in the forums but apparently never saw him say anything too bad

 

when jack was part of intheclouds i was bummed because i love that label and the people that work for it and the bands on it but jack :(

 

they were just fucking around on twitter then jack threw a fit and publicly announced he was unfollowing them. its fucking twitter.

 

So you just gonna ignore this gold huh Jake

 

a band has the right to attack someone if that person posts something at them

like seriously bands get like 50000 shitty messages a day likely it sucks let them do what they want and deal with their own repercussions, i love things like TWIABP's twitter because at least they're being real and not putting on a stupid PR mask
