    I just finished my first listen and I am... pretty disappointed. It seems like they know what “Bright Eyes” is supposed to sound like but in a lot of cases forgot to write songs. Or at least choruses.

    I enjoyed the back half more than the front, hopefully it’s a grower.

    now that im really digging in i think tilt a whirl might be the most heartbreaking song on the album. he really came into this one with them 2020 vibes and just said fuck it.

    it really is. there are alot of top tier bright eyes tracks on here. stairwell song, tilt-a-whirl, calais to dover, to death's heart. he really brought it with this one.

    Kinda with ya, only one listen so far but I thought it was just fine. Some very good songs but I was a little bit taken out of it by the time I got to them. I'm not really in love with anything after WAIM/DA so I'm not shocked, but I hope it does more for me on next listens.
