If I could just forget it

It sounds like a Devin Townsend riff honestly.

2020 has sucked major ass but between this album and Loathe and Hum this has been an all time great year for music that sounds like Deftones

Even the tone is reminiscent of his early solo stuff IMO.

Deftones threads probably are the most wholesome threads on this site.

Has to be the most surprising single they've ever dropped, right? Sounds almost nothing like traditional Deftones. Maybe a hint of Rubicon and Pittura. Shockingly sunny and major-y.

Prayers/Triangles is pretty major sounding. Minerva had to be slightly tamer than expected when it was released, based on their discog up until that point.

Be quiet is one of their biggest songs and that's very major

I'm pretty sure the music video for Minerva on Fuse was my first exposure to Deftones, and I remember how striking the artwork was when I saw the CD cover in stores. I didn't fully buy in until my older brother's best friend let me borrow his copy of White Pony when I was only listening to radio rock like Creed. Changed my world.

an engaged Stef and Chino sounding this good has to result in a great album.

  22. I caved. That riff is so good, almost bluesy sounding. Definitely an evolution of the Gore sound, but darker and even more unique to their catalog. Chino sounds fucking great. Gimme a preorder already.

Hopefully the preorder doesn’t go live in the middle of the night.

    hmmm

I'm rinsing this song today and I heard it two months ago.

Shout-out to Abe and Sergio. Making it groove and bounce in such a satisfying way.
