It’s sad but I don’t blame him. I just wish he went to a team that wasn’t gonna waste his ELITE press coverage & run support skills, by putting him in off / zone coverage most the damn time

 

Jalen Ramsey was only a Jag for 4 years but he’s one of my favorites regardless. Wish we could’ve given him what he wanted.

Yannick is more of a pass rusher and Clowney is more of an edge setter

 

Clowney is overrated.

 

As a pass rusher, maybe. But he's an elite defensive lineman, especially against the run.

He hasn't been in very favorable schemes for his skillset either. I think if he had been allowed to just be a 4-3 DE from the start, he'd be viewed as one of the best in the NFL.

Well no that has nothing to do with it, he doesn't give 100 percent, he's often injured, he's only showed motivation when money is involved. He's clearly not worth what he's asking. If he was worth what he wants I'd take him, but he's not imo.

 

Its pretty telling that he remains a free agent while demanding only Dante Fowler money.

how much do you think an edge setter/elite against the run kind of guy is worth? I agree with this, but my gut is also that you’re not going to get $19M of value out of that skill set for a year’s worth of playing time, not even accounting for his injury risk
