They are planning some sort of virtual tid the season. It’s not really info that’s supposed to be out there, I heard it on a podcast behind a paywall that shal not be named haha

  7. Release the album now and then release a deluxe version with more songs and alternate artwork when you can tour. Boom.

  8. I don't get their holding back because of touring. NO ONE is touring.

The bands success grows little by little each album, which comes from their non stop touring for the last 20+ years. These guys still tour like they’re kids ready to hit the road for the first time. They always open for bigger bands and their own headlining tours always have relevant & popular up and coming bands. With that, they’re always being exposed to new people, which equates to their popularity growing more and more each album cycle.

They could release the album, make some money of the physical sales and then that would be it pretty much. The dedicated fans will buy it, but it’ll mostly be streamed, which won’t make them a whole lot. And with everything going on in the world, new music isn’t at the top of people’s priorities right now, especially with a ton of people having financial issues as well. So they’ll make some money in the beginning of the album release but that’ll slowly fade off.

Each case is different when it comes to every artist. Obviously an artists the size of Taylor Swift is still going to sell a ton of records in the middle of a pandemic. But for ETID, they need the touring to maximize on what they could potentially bring in financially. You tour to promote the album. No touring, lots of lost promotion and potential album buyers.

This sounds good and all until you realize the band probably won’t be touring for at least another year, if not longer than that. The band can’t sit on it forever, and it would just make more sense to release it now with limited merch, alternate covers, and other things to make the money. Fans will come out to a headlining tour regardless whenever that happens.

On the most recent axe to grind they had a couple different booking agents on to talk about the state of the music industry, particularly for small/medium sized touring bands. Most seem to believe touring as we know it will maybe pick back up around mid summer next year. So another year away. But anyways, if anyone knows whats best for their album and career its probably the people with their ear to the ground.

Are there leftovers or demos they can work on remotely to release as an EP? From this band I’d buy a vinyl/t shirt bundle.

I understand both sides of the release it / don’t release it arguments. There really isn’t a great answer. Either make some money now or play the long game...and I mean the looooooong game haha

Obviously the band would be more in the know, but it seems like a lot of bands with less established fan bases seem to be doing fine putting out new music right now? Then again the guys are all older and have families, wonder if that has something to do with it

I have to imagine Jordan and his wife have had a LOT of fun sitting at home together the past 6 months between QAnon, Trump, Covid-19, and just about everything else.

Really don’t understand why some people in this thread repeatedly feel the need to comment on Jordan’s marital relationship as if that’s in any way shape or form their business to speculate about

She made it public knowledge she fully supports QAnon and Trump and Jordan has stated the opposite. It’s not like this is news.

Do people really expect someone to leave their spouse because they've been brainwashed by Trump?

Likely when they (or any couple) met, fell in love and got married, they were probably more aligned politically/spiritually/morally... now that one of them supports Trump (possibly because they've been gaslit and aren't smart enough to see through it), the other is supposed to just disown them?

If I was married to someone who supported Trump I would probably leave them. If you support Trump you agree/are complicit with everything he says and does, which is a lot of pure evil and awful things.

I don’t have any expectations like divorce, nor did I have that much thought behind thinking someone with progressive views and who votes democratic being married to a QAnon/MAGA supporter probably doesn’t make for a positive half year quarantine setup. Doesn’t mean I wish them any ill will.

Yes, I would also leave (at the very least) someone who either believes the Q conspiracies or supports Trump as a politician/president.
