Wolfpack also rips off this song haha.

Maybe that's the one. I have to listen again though. I KNOW it gave off a like pre 90s vibe though.

The acoustic ones, was that Do It For Me Now...oh no. That had to be earlier and Anxiety later. Hmm, don't think I've heard those then. What other songs did they do?

I'll have to give that a listen. Kinda mixed feelings if it is ripped off. On the one hand, I love Wolfpack. On the other...well, isn't just a tad insulting when it's not original? I dunno! Think it's fine to borrow good stuff though. And really nothing these days is entirely authentic anymore.

    @AlwaysEvolving21 yep! I hear it!

@David Parke hmm I'm getting a different vibe from bullets in the Wind, but I can't put my finger on the song it reminds me of...something pop released within the past couple of years. Hmm...

haha so funny! I'm listening to this old album after many many years...and this song has total AVA vibes (or well, AVA has this song's vibes since it came later) Hear it?? lol

  6. I absolutely love this song but I don’t get angels from it. Definitely a great song tho

I’d say that Wolfpack rips off mainly Miss You in that chorus haha

The original demo of Wolfpack sounds EXACTLY like that The Knife song, right down to the vocal melodies.

The demo lyrics are so much better than the finals. Seems a lot clearer it's about him and his ex.

Man they really should've fleshed out that demo and just given The Knife a writing credit. It's so much better than the album version.

I love that demo. The chorus has so much more energy when he sings in a higher register.

Never heard that demo before....wow. Would’ve been one of their best

but there’s no way he’d be able to sing that live hahaha

To be fair, he's not really able to sing any of his songs live haha

But yeah seriously, when they recorded that demo they definitely altered his pitch

It's not until the 2 minute mark when all the instrumentation comes in. But I get it. I often hear things that others do not. Lol

However, I did make a connection last night when another agreed with me that Blinks Snake Charmer and AVAs Paralyzed have super similar intros.

anyone watching Unidentified or Tom's Twitter commentary right now?? I have no way to watch the current season, but I'm amusing myself with the commentary. lol

  16. This was fun. Good angels stuff toward the end. Nothing new or hard hitting but I love Matt so hearing his perspective is fun

Great to see those two on such good terms all these years later.

Damn this reminds me of that SongExploder podcast with Matt Healy. He doesn't allow himself to self-edit to protect his ego and I think that's exactly what Tom did with this demo. These lyrics are vastly superior

Can you elaborate what you mean by self editing to protect their ego? Listened to the song exploder you’re talking about but I don’t see the connection lol

Matt seems like a such a cool dude. Stoked he's apart of the band.

He's saying Tom probably thought the lyrics were too personal and changed them to protect his ego or make the connection less obvious.

Whereas Healy is an open book in his songs.

Ah gotcha. Thought they were saying it was the same, couldn’t draw the connection. Yes, it looks like that! Agreed haha
