I've been watching How I Met Your Mother with my wife (a show she likes, so im watching for first time).

Its not as awful as I assumed but it's definitely not very good either. Its very repetitive. The plots and jokes are all the same every episode. It has a few laughs, no doubt, but its a giant notch below some of the best sitcoms ever.

They're all also just not great people which has bothered me. I've never hated white people more

  5. there weren’t many great sitcoms on network television around 2007/2008..the first few seasons were unique and funny at times but like most sitcoms it went on too long, became less funny, and unfortunately it ended with a disastrous finale. I have no urge to ever revisit it.

It's 25 people in a 500 seat, two-level theater. Not too worried. Plus, I never got to see Fury Road on the big screen!

I was looking into other theaters in my area (cause obviously I haven't had any reason to go to their websites in months), and my one favorite arthouse downtown (right next to Powell's Books) is renting out their screens for $250, which includes $100 in food credit. There's a huge selection of movies to pick from, including stuff from this year as well as a ton of classics, and you split that between ten people or so and that is a great fucking deal.

    I need more friends.

I don't think it's fair to judge quarantine shot stuff from a fucking Jay Roach project.

Host was incredible and Malcolm & Marie looks great.

I cannot stand what Jay Roach does now, but the first Austin Powers and first Meet the Parents are still a pretty goddamn solid one-two punch.

The Austin Powers films, first two specifically, were all I watched when I was a kid

I haven't seen any Austin Powers movie since I was like 13, there's no way they hold up, do they?

I'm scared to watch as an adult because of that reason. I have the best memories of them.

I'm gonna have many feelings about anyone remaking John Candy and none of them will be good.
