  1. Chandler seems to be hinting he might be UFC bound (he has before so we’ll see)

would like to see him make the leap. Lots of fun fights there for him. Felder would be a great start. As would Hooker but that dude needs a break haha

It's interesting to see the divide with fans on O'Malley now. I feel like being "undefeated" holds too much weight behind it, especially for unranked fighters. He's got a lot of potential and the leg injury was clearly hindering his ability to keep fighting. For him to keep trying alone, while also trying to throw spinning back fists and what not is something to note. But most on social networks are trying to act like Vera shocked the world.

Yeah, that's unfair. Vera was arguably losing the fight pre injury and the injury happened so early that who knows who would have won without it occurring. If Vera didn't KO him, O'Malley wouldn't have made it to the second round. He could barely stand.

Despite the trash talk it was cool to see Cody post “Happens to all of us at some point ” on Sean’s “Humbled” post. Nothing but class, I really am rooting for Cody’s return to championship status after facing so much negative flack for his losses to TJ.

  6. UH OH

Edit: some Swedish MMA outlet called this the other day and said it’s for the interim title. Seems likely

That's a great comain for Izzy-Costa. The card already has 5 other top 15 matchups as well. Not bad at all.

Is Jones refusing to fight at the moment? Or is it legal troubles he's still dealing with?

  9. Seems like he’s legitimately contemplating moving up.
Brett said they’re figuring out 205 right now and that Stipe/Jones hasn’t been formally discussed yet as far as he knows.

i have a bad feeling Francis might get fucked if Jon is willing to fight Stipe. Dana will make that fight right away imo

Oh man, if Stipe becomes the only man to beat both Cormier and Jones, he will be a goat no questions asked.

Yeah wouldn’t doubt if Jones starts prepping for a move to heavyweight but is content to sit and wait until the money is right. Watch them end up with a situation like Masvidal’s where they’re desperate to fill a PPV spot and decide to pay up.

  18. Jones should be able to fight whoever the champ is immediately. I feel like any champ moving up or down should get a title shot right away tbh.

    But especially Jon

  19. I’d also wonder how much size he would want to put on. Stipe came in at a very lean 230.

If his main goal in the short term is simply Stipe then maybe not too much. Jones probably walks around at 230 or slightly less and believes he has a significant speed advantage that I doubt he would want to compromise. Not sure if he would want more size to deal with Curtis or Francis though.

Good job everyone, we did it!

  22. Poor Francis. Guess he has to go decapitate Blaydes. Again!

I'd howl if Jones gets a warm-up fight at heavyweight vs Gus.

If they can get Jones vs Stipe for the title at the usual big December PPV I'd be stoked. Make Francis vs Blaydes for number 1 contender. Blaydes punishment for being super boring and Francis reward for waiting lol
