Are you a big board game person? I've got a bunch I enjoy, but am looking for more co-op style stuff like Pandemic. Ive gotten my family/wife to enjoy Catan and Codenames and a handful of other great games; but they're still caught up a bit in the tradtional card-trading style games.

 

Yeah @JRShoenberger can you recommend your top five two player games

Yeah. I do board game reviews on Instagram, and I’m a contributor on The Dice Tower YouTube channel.

I don’t play a ton of co-ops. But here a few interesting ones to look at:

The Crew (just won game of the year in Germany. It’s a coop trick taking game, like spades).
Stop Thief (coop against an app that secret moves a player around the board)
Exit: the Game (escape room on a box games)
Harry Potter Hogwarts Battle (coop deck building game, if you like Harry Potter)

 

Most of my favorite games play great with two players. These are all only 2-players or play great at 2:

Barenpark (Tetris style tile laying game)
Mandala (Card game with cool art)
Railroad Ink (roll and write game about trains)
Roll Player (Dice Game about building an rpg character)
Quacks of Quedlinburg (push your luck game)

 

Is roll player the only campaign style?

 

It’s actually not campaign style. The game ends after you make the character. It’s an odd theme, but it’s a lot of fun.

The Harry Potter game I mentioned has a campaign in it. The Pandemic Legacy are the best campaign games I’ve ever played.

 

Do D&D! My gf and I have a running campaign that we play together every once in a while. I’m DM and one or two other characters, and she plays her character
