I’m good with an EP with new stuff instead of NINE dlx. NINE still feels fresh to me.

  5. I’m too lazy to think much more about it but I’d agree with this. Not mad at it for sure

  7. Mark has had the worst taste in Blink for a long time now. Common knowledge. Haha. I wonder why he doesn’t like TOYPAJ as much as Enema and Untitled. And why does he like California more than Nine?! Oh yeah, he has bad taste. Moving on...

Kinda bummed that Nine DLX isn’t happening but at the same time, I don’t care about the collaborations from this album cycle. I’d pretty much only want to hear new bonus songs. So I guess an all new EP scratches that itch just as well.

Bring it on. “Quarantine” rules. That better be on it!

My guess would be bc of the way Enema propelled them. They were proud af of that album.

Smh Mark how are you not gonna rank Buddha after insisting there are nine albums

I think I’m most shocked by how low NINE is.

Mark writes his best blink songs on Dude Ranch
His worst blink songs on Neighborhoods

    Ranks Neighborhoods higher

I wonder how much the experience of making those albums weighs in his ranking

I’m nostalgic as hell for Dude Ranch, but I can’t even rate it top 3 with a straight face.

Maybe he likes the Tom only songs on Neighborhoods more than the Tom only songs on Dude Ranch.

Matt ranked the Alkaline Trio albums a few years ago and ranked them based off of how much fun he had making the albums. I would assume when an artist ranks their work they look at all of the whole process and not just what album has the best songs.

Considering they did basically a whole other album for Cali deluxe, I'm fine if they don't do a Nine deluxe. I love the album plenty that it can stand alone, Cali did leave a sense of "well I want to hear what didn't make it"

New EP is the right choice

Yeah was gonna mention that. Seemed like his only criteria for ranking haha.

I feel experience, end product and sometimes reception from fans/critics matter.

If I remember correctly he ranked Good Mourning low because he was sick for a lot of the recording and also ranked This Addiction last (rightfully so) but because the band fought a lot during that recording because none of them were sober.

    Yeah you're right.

Addiction can def be last for both finished product and recording process lol

Neighborhoods has great songs but just feels lifeless. California has weaker song but booms with energy. I think those might flip in my ranking depending on my mood.
