Comet song is absurd

 

I’ve been holding off listening to the album in full since my first couple listens, but Dance and Sing and Calais to Dover have been on repeat

 

Still not gonna listen until it actually comes out. Glad people are enjoying it.

 

Calais to Dover and Comet Song are probably my favs from what I can remember but I haven't listened in over a month. Just gonna wait for the proper release. Can't wait to get a ship notification!

Between your evaluation and the Stereogum piece, it sounds like this album will do pretty much exactly what I want: take everything good and known about Bright Eyes and put it into the year 2020. Nothing fundamentally earth-shaking or wildly innovative, but solid, reliable, and good.

 

Though, it’s very weird to see one of the songs compared to Hotline Bling in the Stereogum write-up lol
