    Is there any connection to this and Better Call Saul’s “flash forwards”? I’m assuming there is. Just quote me “yes” or “no” and I’m good. Probably going to download BCS S4 on iTunes since I missed out on most of it airing. Then I’ll watch El Camino.

    Imagine that many people paying $10 to see it in theaters, $250 million. But people much more content to staying in.

    If it weren't in a limited number of theaters and was dropped there earlier than Netflix, I absolutely would have gone

    You have already paid for Netflix, but going to the movie theater is an expense. It is even more severe if you are trying to take your family to something (obviously El Camino is not a family film). That is one of the benefits of streaming for companies trying to push content; people will watch it because it is essentially free.

    This was solid, though it didn’t feel like a story that needed to be told to be honest. The beginning where it focused more on his PTSD was great as were the scenes with Todd. I didn’t love the villain subplot, but the wild west shootout was fun. Not sure we needed the scene with Walt. I was definitely distracted by the bald cap Cranston was wearing haha. I also loved Rober Forster in this, RIP. Him talking about how Jesse, Walt, & Saul all had to live with their own choices was great. The movie could have benefitted by focusing more on that theme.

    Overall, a worthy addition to Breaking Bad.

  11. This was good, not great. I don’t think it added to the Breaking Bad story but I liked seeing some of the old characters again.

    We just watched this tonight for the first time after spending the last few months re-watching at a slow pace. Mostly, we really enjoyed this. I'm glad i missed the "was this even necessary" discussion, because it felt like the perfect epilogue to the BB story. Interesting to note the below post;

    My first thoughts upon seeing Jesse, Todd, Walt, & even Jane in their flashbacks were "oof it's so so obvious they're re-creating the times and having these characters play their younger selves.” Hell, even Aaron Paul looks older/not as great now playing the Jesse from 2008/2009. I'll admit some of that took me out of the scenes a little, but overall if that was my biggest issue, i think they did a great job with this.

    Yeah, Saul is a prequel, so Breaking Bad is really the only thing to be familiar with when watching El Camino

    And Saul is way better than El Camino imo

    Yeah BCS started off a little shaky, but at this point I have no qualms with someone saying they prefer either one over the other, they're both so well-done
