Did he not post Pt. II of SRAH with Butch Walker? The Instagram video cuts off abruptly at 44 min. I started watching it after 9 and noticed he was still live so I figured he would have posted the second part but never did.

I love this album. It’ll be my AOTY. I wish it was longer because I enjoy it so much.

 

I wanted to love this. Prolly my biggest disappointing album. Wanted sleepwalkers part II in a bad way.

 

Sleepwalkers is amazing. I still listen to that record a ton. Sleepwalkers is a little like an American Slang Part II to me. Love every song on that record. It was also my favourite album the year it was released.

I get not making a record that sounds exactly like the previous one though. I love how Local Honey explores another part of Brian’s greatness. I do hope he revisits the energy of Sleepwalkers or something else cool. But Local Honey gets stuck in my head. It’s got moments that feel like Else Part II.

It’s all original, and by part II, I mean I just has elements of things I previously enjoyed.

 

One thing that I never saw coming a few years ago... Painkillers has grown to be my fav Fallon solo album, and probably my third favorite of his releases from any project

 

Is anyone else having issues with the Local Honey record? I preordered it from Brian directly, and it didn’t work. Just not at all - skip after skip after skip. I didn’t worry too much about it, especially with all the Covid stuff going on, so I just chalked it up to a $20 tip to him and figured I’d buy it again. Which I did, from Amazon. And it’s the same thing. Totally unplayable.

It’s not my record player - I’ve bought a dozen records this month that have zero issues. But I’m 2/2 on this not working at all.

 

Honestly same. Mine also skips a whole bunch. I opened it up once and tried playing it once and it was unlistenable.

 

Only issue I have with this record is it being my personal disappointment of the year

 

Mine was delivered warped as all hell. So I’ve never even bothered listening to it

 

Ordered mine from the local record shop and it plays well.

 

Still love this record. Wish it was more than 8 songs though. A common complaint of mine, I know.

yeah Painkillers is top tier Fallon over-all as far as I'm concerned. Not a single song on that album that I'd pass, and I will defend Mojo Hand until my last breath.

 

Painkillers feels like there was a lot more he wanted to say on Get Hurt but maybe he felt the songs weren't gaslight songs, and I think Painkillers was the epilogue in a lot of ways to Get Hurt, and it ends perfectly with 'Open All Night' which imo is one of his better songs across the board.

 

Mojo Hand slaps. The “I think I’ve taken all that I can stand” outro is one of my favorite moments in his solo discography.

 

it says '30 minute show', wonder if that's for real - with how lengthy brian's banter can be that's like, what, 3 songs? lol

 

$25 for a 30 minute show? I might have to pass on this one

 

Mojo hand is my least favorite song off painkillers. Lol
