I deactivated Facebook yesterday. People near and dear to me with this save the children stuff and inviting me to these groups. I don’t even have kids. My sister asked me why and this was my reply to her: “Do I think that there’s some sick fucks out there? Absolutely. Should they be murdered for abusing/selling kids? YEP. No matter who they are. I think people should be more worried about their weirdo neighbors before worrying about if Oprah is going to sell your child to sex traffickers”

Edit: not my sister inviting me to this group..just why I deactivated. The people that keep sharing this shit are people that were in my damn wedding. Friends since we were kids and it’s so damn frustrating

It is everywhere, its starting to seep into my local town's (super liberal) Facebook discussion group as well. I have people who I thought were intelligent thinking that Bourdain, Avvici, Chris Cornell, and some other celebrity were murdered by the globalists because they were making a documentary about their child sex cult. I think some huge percentage of child sexual abuse is done by someone in the family or close to family but people think Chrissy Teigen and Tom Hanks are buying and abusing children.

Potentially, though to me just shows how prevalent this bullshit is getting. It's not just in the dark corners of the web like 4Chan and 8Chan, its mainstream.

Kamala Harris will run as the incumbent in 2024. There's no way Biden makes it through the first term.

I love my friends I just don’t have the desire to argue. Is deactivating a cop out? Maybe. But I just can’t handle the stupidity and the refusal to fact check ANYTHING. The long winded post yesterday that I saw several sharing just sent me over the edge. I wanted to copy paste and link the actual facts but I just don’t have the energy right now.

I had to remove Facebook from my phone and computer. It honestly depresses me seeing so many people be so wrong all the time. Then they’ll share these awful “memes” with grammar and spelling errors that look straight out kid pix ‘95 while other people share them.

I had to do the same with Twitter. People don’t stop to think on there before they talk.

We are heading to a true Idiocracy. (Good movie)

Nope do not think its a cop out. I have tried to fight back against but it is almost futile with some of these folks. I just muted a bunch of people so we are still friends but I do not see any of their shit on my timeline.

This kind of tweet is part of the problem. Trump is going to have just as many votes, if not more, than last election. Which also means we are probably going to be screwed by the electoral college again.

I winded down my facebook to only people I'm close to and actually care about. And I hid anyone who shares annoying/bad political content, even if they're family (including my dad and uncle, as painful as that is). It makes it more bearable and far less addicting, while also salvaging the only way for me to stay in touch with long distance family.

Quoting this mostly so that if I ever reactivate Facebook I can easily find this.

Yup, people see the hashtag and it sucks them in because how can it be a bad thing. Then they get "pilled" or "rabbit holed" by someone in their friend group who is farther down the line who becomes their guru or whatever hell the term is that I can't remember. I have listened to a few interviews with folks that were attending the recent "Save The Children" rally in California and they all go like that. One mom and her daughter were at this rally with their daughter/sister, the two had barley any idea what the rally was about other then the hashtag but the daughter/sister was pilled already and pulling them in.

I know we should just get past 2020 and stop talking about the future, but if Biden were to win and doesn't run for re-election in 2024, obviously Harris would undoubtedly run for the nomination, do you think there is any chance anyone would dare to challenge her? Maybe Tulsi would give it another go and get 0.5% of the vote
