you know, the selection of a leader whose physical abilities may be a bit diminished, that no one seems wholly enthused with, but accepting that it’s a different direction from the tyrannical death cults that have been in charge in recent years and could be a bridge to something better.

I hate you for reminding me of this show.

 

I’m actually ready to attempt a rewatch soon I think. I saw a clip of the Arya/NK moment on one of those listicles and watching it with the music again made me realize that even though most of the last season wasn’t earned at all, it was executed pretty well in terms of on screen spectacle. The music/visuals were just ridiculously good.

And of course the first seven seasons were top tier TV(minus the first half of season 5)

Couldn’t find a .gif of Jon kicking Tornund after storming the wall and telling him to “let it end”

 

As bad as the final season is on a whole, I’d probably put “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” in my ten best episodes.

 

Oh yeah. That was easily the best ep of the season. So wholesome

 

Yeah true. Everything in that episode actually felt earned. And we got so many interactions that I had been waiting for with Jaime showing up. And of course the Brienne scene and Jenny of Oldstones song.

It just left a bitter taste the way it ended so fast and how they forced the issue on nearly everything else. But seeing that Arya/NK clip the other day gave me a hunger to watch again. But also I’ve seen the first 4 seasons especially so many times that I almost want to wait longer so it doesn’t feel like a chore to get through them lol.

The pandemic will def be pushing back House of the Dragon’s debut to which blows.

 

Last season on a whole was bad but it wasn't completely without merit imo

 

Tell you what, Lyanna Stark is in a movie called The Nightingale and it's good if you can ignore the 5x rape

The timing on this, where she makes it sound like it wasn't too long before she got the Stranger Things role, and given her age at the time, and what seasons of Game of Thrones would have been in preproduction at the time....it's hard for me to imagine that this was for anything other than Lyanna Mormont. Crazy. Bella Ramsey did fantastic obviously but if Millie gets this role, perhaps she's not available for Stranger Things. Glad that didn't happen! Can't imagine anyone else as either Lyanna or Eleven now.

Obviously lots of little anonymous children in the show so it could have been one of those roles, but doubtful most of them required auditions.

Extremely excited to see more of Westeros/The Known World. The dunk and egg tales are fun and I’m glad we’re gonna meet both Dunk and Aegon V. The other news in there about possibly Robert’s Rebellion and such is super exciting too.
