Skiba is a much better everything than Tom, which is why it’s weird I would much rather have Tom back in this band.

 

Hey, if Matt looks like he doesn’t wanna be there, maybe Mark and Travis could do a new +44 record. I would be down for Make You Smile Pt. 2 if all we’re looking for is these guys to recreate previous eras of their sound (not being sarcastic; I’m as guilty as anyone of that). Maybe that would finally make Tom reverse jealous and he and Travis could do another BCR album. That’s maybe the best Blinkverse album anyway. It somehow sounds very Tom-esque to do a follow up record to a project that is old enough to vote and has been dormant for nearly two decades.

 

Does anyone think that this song/NINE is better than the three newer AVA songs? Wondering where people sit. I'm not saying you can't enjoy both but just curious what people find more appealing nowadays.

 

I guess if you’re sure...I kinda though it was but it is a little hard to tell...

 

Two completely different experiences for me.

These days, I see myself enjoying new AVA more from a long term perspective. Something about the vibe and listening pleasure i get from the new stuff makes me feel at home. I feel more grounded when I listen to AVA anyways.

NINE has been a good summer album for me. I run to it a lot and have built some good memories around the album. It definitely has more of a nostalgia factor to it.

I love the song Quarantine too. It’s my favorite kind of punk rock, it’s urgent, it’s aggressive, and i like the lyrics. That style of music is what made me fall in love with music to begin with.

 

Is that Skiba in the video? Looks like him with mask on.

But why does mark say he thought it was bad in 2019? What was so bad last year? Haha

I think the likeliest answer is that it’s Matt, but it doesn’t seem impossible. The guitar player in the video is wearing a Dodgers ball cap, and Matt it a pretty vocal Cubs/Chicago fan. I maybe showing my own Cub fandom, here, but literally my first thought was, “why would he wear a Dodger cap?”

Apparently Rock Feed says Tom will be back in blink so who am I to question it

Ugh

 

Tom posts blink stuff fairly often. I wouldn’t read too much into it.

 

Kinda what I was thinking...

 

I always said it would happen one day. I'm thinking at least another 2 years.
