What a ridiculous statement. If it really hit home and showed you how serious this is, you'd be at home. Not preparing to lose to the Packers.

 

Part of me thinks this might be the smart way to have it both ways for a player. The missing training camp fine is only like $30k/day, so if you are someone making $9.5mil this season, you can risk like 10% of your salary to see how it plays out before showing up. And if its bad, you "retire" for 2020 and un-retire for 2021.
