Put it 100 hours the first month or so but I haven't really touched it in a long time. I like that it's a game where if you only want to sit and play for 10 mins you can do that. I'm sure I'll play here and there at some point.

 

Haven't touched it in a week. I got it for my wife while she was out of work during quarantine but she's been working for some time now. I play it way more than her anyways

 

Has anyone here ever hacked their new 3DSXL? I’ve been really considering doing it, it I’ve never hacked anything in my life.

 

I’ve put 500+ hours into the game and still check in daily with my villagers and friends. It’s something I’ll do as long as this game is current.

God Wars is pretty fun, feels like the type of games I play on PSP and 3DS, where it’s not big budget but I don’t think it’s indie either.

It has that FFT style progression where you get JP to spend on skills.

 

It was originally a Vita game so that makes sense

 

I'm having an ok time with it. I have a few nitpicks, however. One, when you're buying equipment, it doesn't tell you if it improves your stats. It just says you can equip it. And two - and this is a major nitpick - when you're actually equipping gear, it highlights what stats will go up in RED and what stats will go down in BLUE, when I've been trained to see the opposite forever. Such a little thing but it's so glaring to me lol

 

i’m not sure about the 1st one, have you been using Try On while shopping? that tells you if you have stat increases or not. with the colors, the arrow points up or down so it wasn’t much of an issue for me. also pokemon treats stats with the same color scheme so it’s not that uncommon.

i can def see why it’s annoying though if you’re not used to it

my nitpick with it is that sound mix is hilariously uneven, which you can fortunately change in the settings.

the music by default is too loud and you can barely hear the VA but then there’s that 1 character that only growls and for some reason that bear’s voice is 1 level higher than everything

not nintendo but every time i see you all talk about jrpgs im really surprised none of you seem to play granblue. feel like a lot of you would love it

 

I've heard about Granblue but have never spent enough time researching it, so I just know there's a devoted fanbase for it.

Honestly not really. I ran into a few snags but it's because I missed a step. If you follow the directions step by step it's pretty easy to do. I can answer any questions you might have.

 

Started Origami King today. It's so relaxing just running around filling in holes in the ground and trying to find all the hidden stuff. Really enjoying the game so far. The combat is just okay.

 

I am really enjoying Paper Mario so far. I've never played any of the previous Paper Mario games, but I enjoy that it motivates you to try to do the whole "completionist" thing by keeping track of the percentages of Toads saved, holes fixed, etc.

 

PlayStation announced their 2nd state of play this summer while Nintendo still hasn’t announced a single full direct in almost a year. Geez man, it’s August. There are only 4 more months in the year. What are they going to do? Shadow drop every single game this fall? Ridiculous

 

They’re not launching a console that they have to push at all costs right now. Quite the opposite, they can’t even make enough units to meet demand as it is.

 

They’re opposites but they’re just as important. While Sony is announcing products to bring people in, Nintendo is announcing nothing. At all. Does Nintendo really expect they can shadow drop major releases when everyone has been hyping up and getting exciting for games for new consoles because they were smart enough to announce them in the summer? With Sony and Microsoft releasing a bunch of new games and even consoles, Nintendo just can’t continue sitting around and expect a shadow drop to do them any good. They need to start promoting games now if they don’t want everything to be overshadowed by TWO new consoles.

 

I think they’ll be fine. Like I said they literally can’t make enough Switches and copies or Ring Fit. They’ll announce games before the holiday season.

 

Sony is about to have a presentation focusing mainly on PS4 games despite getting ready to launch a new console this fall lol. Really just want to know what Nintendo is doing.

At the point where I’m hoping someone with access just leaks everything that’s coming this year at this point.

I get that these announcements raise hype and are fun. But at the end of the day it doesn’t matter if they announce it a year in advance or just one day: if I want the game, eventually I’ll buy it. Especially if it’s a known property like Mario, Zelda, Pokémon.

 

Made the decision to buy a switch a couple weeks ago, but can’t find one anywhere around here for the life of me. Frustrating, but not surprising.

I really just wanna play Luigi’s Mansion, among other things.

 

From my understanding there’s a console shortage according to the employees at GameStop. All consoles. Not just the Switch.
