Never thought a grindcore show in Minneapolis would be a potential COVID outbreak spot, but here we are.

Honestly part of me agrees. In the same way that I miss niche music interest forums in general. The subreddits for various metal genres definitely do not scratch the same itch that places like the New Standard Elite forums did.

Then again, people are generally nicer nowadays than on platforms like those in question, but all the same.

That said, I personally think it's the formatting. Chorus just has this whole "modern" feel to it that does not sit as well with the same vibe as classic 2000's internet forums.

I don't think I really posted in the metal thread on AP. I mainly just lurked and played those silly mixtape and band games on the Miscellaneous Forum.

 

I also suppose I'm not one to talk too much. I was on AP for maybe a year, year and a half before it got the Death Star treatment.
