Aftershock postponed for 2021. Metallica and MCR are still headlining plus a 4th night is being added

 

I was positive the announcement today would be the lineup for next year which is why I figured it took so long. Now I'm kinda confused why they waited this long to postpone it.

Who thought a drive-in EDM show was a good idea?

 

Imagine getting coronavirus because you had to see The Chainsmokers perform live.

What the fuck? Haha this is the first time in my life I've ever seen an enormous festival lineup and literally don't recognize a single act.

 

These are a lot of jam/Americana/bluegrass/folk acts.

 

Even though I don't listen to much of that kind of stuff, I normally can pick at least one band or artist out of the bunch. But this is just crazy. There's like a billion names on there and I haven't even heard of a single one. So weird! Haha. I can usually even pick out a name I know off of an EDM festival, and that's the furthest thing away from what I listen to. I'm just kinda shocked, haha.

 

What about 3-6?

 

i was JUSSSST writing a new post. I didn't even realize the names up at the top were headliners. For some reason my brain thought they were sponsors, so I just glanced over them, haha. I've heard of Three 6 Mafia and Ween. Phew!

But still... Only knowing 2 out of 5,493 bands feels absurd, haha.

 

Yeah I have been feeling that way for a while, but q good chance to discover something new.

 

Is it really that absurd, though? Looking at the headliners... That festival seems like it's driven toward a very targeted audience (people who like jam bands).

I'm pretty keyed into music as a whole, so I recognize a few additional names from other festival line-ups (Pigeons Playing Ping-Pong, Lettuce) but not much more than you. I just don't pay any attention to that scene, so it stands to reason I'd not be familiar with the bulk of that.

I'd imagine there's people who look at the line-up for things like the Fest and say the exact same thing you just did. It's just a super niche thing.

There are a big influence on the druggier production of some of the edm artists on the lineup

 

Where did you find that?

I 99% sure its fake as the social media sites of the festival have not posted anything since May
