  1. Spencers Gifts circa 2003? Haha jk.

I see random horror posters in Facebook ads all the time. I feel like Mondo is a big one.

Depends on what you want. I've found some great prints on Etsy but are more minimalist style and not official. These are on my wall in my room:

But there are multiple Etsy profiles that sell more traditional style posters.

Went on a little run this weekend:

The Town That Dreaded Sundown remake was one of the most middle of the road movies I've seen. Not exactly bad, but extremely forgettable.

It Chapter 2 was a let down. I really liked the first, this one just showed too much and couldn't build tension.

Night of the Demons was great. I will definitely be watching that every October. Was surprised how great it looked and how well the effects stood up.

Dr. Sleep was a lot of fun, not exactly scary, but looked amazing. Definitely exceeded my expectations.

Dang, RIP to John Saxon (and Regis Philbin). John was fantastic and I think I'll throw on ANOES tonight.

Pumpkinhead is such a treat. It’s an absolute “must” for me every October.

My wife and I watched Freddy's Dead and Jason VS Freddy over the weekend. Still my favorite Freddy movies. Nightmare On Elm St. 5 is pretty great too.

Would really love for them to re-release this with that awful scene with Kelly Rowland cut shorter. It'd be perfect if not for that.

Ha, I definitely cringed as if someone was scraping a chalkboard when that scene came on. I forgot all about it, tbh. Its wild how back in the day that word was just thrown around as if it was nothing. It was oddly mainstream to throw out those words and insults in middle and high school in the early 2000's where I came from. Wild to think about.

Yeah the last time I watched a few years ago that scene felt like a car screeching to a halt. There was an odd satisfaction in her fictional character getting cracked with a machete like a baseball bat immediately after.

I’ve only seen the direct sequel which was alright but nowhere near as good as the first. People do seem to love it though.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

I just watched The Lodge and thought it had legit one of the dumbest reveals I've seen in horror lol

it's a shame because the performances and filmmaking were both really good (although the amount of close-ups on faces made me feel kind of nauseous, I guess that was the point) but man that script was such a dud

Finally checked out It Comes At Night. I thought it was very well done and typical of A24 horror movies, which is a compliment. It's also a wild flick to see in this insane world we are currently living in.
