Is there increased shiny chance on stuff during this?

 

There is supposed to be. I've been playing for 3 hours and haven't gotten anything. @Garrett has gotten like 6 though I think.

 

Finally had a chance at an alolan marowak in the wild and it glitches out

 

The friends list has been broken since the friendship bonus hour; seems likely something is going to have to happen.

There were server issues in Japan earlier and Niantic immediately promised a make-up event, for ref.

A shame because the event had been really fun up until that point, I'd gotten some great new shinies including a pair of shiny Unown (O and G).

 

And I just had an alolamola or whatever it’s called but I had to run because it wouldn’t let me throw a ball

 

I'm assuming so. I've caught two so far. But jesus fuck, this has been a terrible experience. Get your shit together Niantic.

 

Played from 10-1 today so far. Insane haul.

 

And yeah the server issues are fucked. I was only able to open like 3 gifts.

I've only gotten Swablu and Marrill so far. I was having a lot of issues earlier on. Not sure if it was being on a mountain, bad servers, or a combo of the two.

 

That's the only info they have at the moment. I doubt that's all there is.

 

I just had a shiny alolan exeggcutor run on me.

 

I’ve never had a shiny run. I thought they couldn’t

 

Ouch, that really hurts.

I feel like the only shiny Pokemon that don't run are the ones you get from doing a raid. Wild shinies can still run.

 

I'm at 4 1/2 hours and I still haven't encountered a single shiny, I'm so annoyed.

 

The fact that I just had one run and that everything else seems to be running after one ball as me regretting spending that money on this
