You guys think Scott still gets royalties for Buddha-Dude Ranch?

I can't help but view Oliver Tree as another/different version of Pee-wee Herman, Mr. Bean, and even the youtube personality Fred.

 

So regarding these singles that Blink's name has been attached to, which most have only featured Mark, and Travis, does this mean Matt's position in the band could be limited? By that I mean, contractually will his position as a member be limited to certain writing credits, and involvement either with album writing, and live performances?

 

Do royalties extend to playing songs live? Like, does Scott get something every time they play Dammit? Does he have writing credits in those songs?

 

I'm pretty sure the features without Matt that have been credited as blink-182 show that Matt has some other kind of contract than Mark and Travis.

If Scott had writing credits on any of the songs, then yes - Scott would get royalties every time the songs are played live. However, he doesn't have any writing credits on any blink songs. In fact, all blink songs are credited to solely Tom and Mark up until TOYPAJ, which was the first album where Travis got writing credit.

Really wish we had a live recording/version of Rock Show with the 2004 style breakdown in the bridge.

Also would love a STFTK version with the pauses in the last guitar chorus that they used to do live.

 

Don't remember if it's the same but there's a live recording on the Australian version of the Untitled record, but it was def like an extended bridge

I think Travis talks about this in his book “Can I Say”

 

ASCAP has Scott as a writer on all the old songs from his era.

 

I remember reading about Travis not being considered a writer until TOYPAJ in his book but I’ve never seen confirmation about Scott.

 

Finally listening. Not bad! Has a total Blink feel to it, with that like 90s Brit style (right? Is that what I'm hearing?) Seems like an abrupt start though and a little repetitive, but a nice sound.

 

Oh I love this! And that guitar solo-nice! Did they speed up the song though? Lol

 

They played almost all of their songs live in 2003 and 2004 really fast.

 

I don’t think Scott is listed as a writer for Mutt which I believe he recorded the original version that was on the Taylor Steele The Show soundtrack.

Was stoked to see the new naked and famous record out. Somehow I missed that whole release. Bummed the song they worked on with Mark last hear, I think it was, seemingly didn’t make the cut. I hear several parts on the record that would suit a verse from him.

 

I wonder what that paycheck is like?
