The Bucks would be the best team in the conference regardless of division. Say you took away four Bucks wins - one each against the Bulls, Pacers, Pistons and Cavs - and instead gave them games against the Raptors, Celtics, Heat and Sixers. Let's even assume the Bucks lose all four of those games. They would still be the top seed in the East

 

i, probably the biggest bucks fan in this thread lol, did not say it is entirely responsible for the bucks success. like, nowhere not even a single time lol. but it is a part of the success. definitely. it “matters”

Well then yeah everything matters. We're saying divisions are largely useless because 4 games out of the year is literally less than 5 percent of the year.

 

The Bucks play some of the worst teams in the league four times. Other conference opponents (Raptors/Celtics/etc.) might play them three times, but it is more likely that they will play them four times. If you want to be pedantic, that could "matter". But ultimately it doesn't have any effect on determining the best team in the league

The Bucks are the best team in the league this year and only a handful of teams should give them any trouble in the playoffs, they're the favorite against any team on any given night.
