Can't believe this is happening

 

I think I still miss the self titled, but based on that post by Trevor and all of your reactions, I will eventually love this.

Maybe the 45 on the preorder page are these "remixed" versions?

Yep these are extended/remixed versions, the album tracks are shorter.

edit: oh I totally read that wrong, yeah the preorder 45 is the single for these tracks

 

I'm already cutting myself off from these songs. I loved them on first listen.

 

Holy shit, 2016 is unstoppable. Can't wait for the new album.

Just listened to the songs. These are insane. Over Soon is so beautiful and Deathbreast is absolutely insane.

 

Any lower register tracks vocally???

 

Definitely, at least from the stream. There was one with lower register singing and either autotuned backing vocals (maybe from Sean?) or a vocal sample over it that was fucking dope. All over a drum sample too.

 

The vinyl with the two tracks was for sale at Eaux Claires, so I bought it!

Holy shit these songs! I know it's only two off his 3rd album, and this might be hyperbolic, but time to start talking about him as being one of the most important modern artists of this generation -- if we haven't been already.

This album is going to be fucking godly. Those two tracks, he just sneaks right back in and goes 'pssst, i'm still the best at all this music stuff, just in case anyone forgot. i know it's been like five years, you're welcome for all that other awesome stuff i did in between too.'

 

Yeah, big fan of these. "10 DeathBreast" has been my wake up jam today.

 

The two songs are certainly interesting, but I'm not blown away or anything. I'm curious to see how the album turns out and how much the album versions of these songs differ to the ones we're listening to now.

Wish I was able to buy the vinyl. It's glorious.

 

Man I wish this album was coming out sooner. I'm going to Iceland at the start of September and I feel like this would be great music for the roadtrip
