They fixed your brain when you were young.

I do generally like The Ringer stuff and JJ has a podcast there.. Not that I've ever listened, I don't think, so I don't know much about him.

  5. Lot to like with New Orleans.

JJ is pretty funny. Ingram broke out as a star this past season. And they have, ya know, the most hyped rookie since LeBron.

    Just a friendly reminder

Grizzlies fans and Raptors fans are bros since the Gasol trade so that's where my vote goes. Do you want a starting center that currently looks like Kratos from God of War?

As someone who only really likes the Pacers (million in one chance to go far this season) and the Bulls (despair for now), I usually decide who I want to root for series to series.

Clippers might be my favorite this off season, they actually have a chance, franchise has never won before, I like Kawhi a lot and would love to see him lead three franchises to the Finals, the narrative, wow.

Would love to see Raptors/Sixers ECF if the seeding works out, I have a soft spot for Jimmy Butler and the black heat jerseys, also would love to see the Jazz or Nuggets make a run, feel like they never get talked about seriously.

Grizzlies Pelicans and Kings all my favorite longshot young teams, one of them will probably figure it out and be pretty good.

i'm a bulls fan, but cant even watch they're so bad.

outside that i'm more of a fan of specific players, so i root for their teams when they're on.

They don't play into playoff seeding at all and the one extra game you play against divisional opponents doesn't do anything to make the rivalries more interesting. NBA rivalries are 90% based on playoff matchups. The biggest rivalry in the league is between teams in different conferences

Right? Rivalries haven't even existed in basketball in a long time. What teams really even hate each other?

It aint like when Jordan used to post up against garbage collectors.

they play into seeding entirely in that you face teams in your division more than any other teams in the league and it directly plays a hand in your record and seeding. so, again, wrong.

Yes, every team plays divisional opponents four times a year. They also play six of the 10 non-divisional conference opponents four times a year. It's not a significant advantage like it is in the NFL or MLB. You're not even guaranteed a playoff spot by winning a division

Ah yes, the famed 2020 Divisional rivalry of Heat - Magic.

Where would we be without the Nuggets - Jazz hatred.

    Knicks-Raptors. Cutthroat.

find where i said “basketball divisions matter equally if not more than football and baseball divisions”

i just said they matter lol. they do. they directly influence a team’s record

They slightly matter in terms of logistics and travel, and to give sad teams banners to hang

and teams face them more than other teams in the league. you don’t think part of the bucks’ success is getting to beat up on the bulls, pacers detroit and cleveland more than other teams in the league? cmon man. that’s obvious.
