Doing a double feature of the Fly and American Werewolf in London this morning. First time viewing of each!

 

Oh man

 

Just watched the fly for the first time myself

 

American Werewolf is one of my favorite movies

The Fly is also very good

 

American Werwolf is one of the best Werwolf flicks

 

Steer clear of the moors

 

American Werewolf in Paris though...dumpster fire

 

I did a double feature with Werewolf in London & The Hunger last week

 

I liked the Lodge. Relic was a snooze. Just FFd through it.

sleepaway camp though is an all timer despite it being v problematic

 

Just saw Sleepaway Camp for the first time a few weeks ago because I'm going through the original Last Drive-in marathon with a podcast group

Also watched Slumber Party Massacre II and loved it. And Society which was not as crazy as I expected

 

I’ve been rewatching some of the F13s since the box set announcement and I thought about the ranking. I’d place them as

Only one I really disliked was Jason X. The New Blood wasn't good, but I at least have fond memories of how bonkers it was.

 

Part VIII at #2? I’ve never seen it so high on a ranking

 

It is pretty much everything I could possibly want from a ridiculous 80s slasher. It's like...the polar opposite of the original film, but in the best way. Just the epitome of a bad-good flick imo

 

Honestly, Manhattan is the only one I like. Nostalgia probably plays a huge role in my reasoning, but that movie is super fun.

On another note, I feel that Friday just came too close on the heels of Halloween. They’re so close in age, but one is a masterpiece while the other feels like a cheat.

To each their own.

 

I do think Halloween is a better film than Friday the 13th, but I like more of the Friday the 13ths than the Halloweens.

 

Is the movie Becky worth watching?

 

i watched Tragedy Girls the other day and i’m still not sure how i feel about it haha.

 

Eh I thought it was fun. Doesn’t have any replay value, but not bad.

 

Ha! I’ve been trying to work up to this...but Kevin Jamessssss!!!

 

Speaking of Halloween I looked up to see how much I could get the scream factory box set lol not spending $700 on that

 

That’s just insane.
