We’re all just going to end up calling each other Karen it’s getting weird

 

Pelosi and Schumer better develop a backbone for the stimulus discussions over the next week. Things are going to get really ugly when the federal unemployment expires next Saturday (and Sunday for NY).

What I said was that I don't consider "cooption" synonymous with "simply using a term incorrectly." Cooption implies an intent to use a term in a way that you know is not the original meaning. I think morons calling everyone they don't like Karens is just them not understanding the meanings of the terms they're using and instead just thinking that it means "anyone I find wrong/annoying" lol

Ok well that makes sense. But I still am wondering if anyone else is seeing this, I don’t really care about the intent.

 

People are getting called Karen for not wearing a mask, people are getting called Karen for asking people to wear a mask. No one else sees absurdity here? I guess it just happened to me and I didn’t expect it lol but it made me think about how stupid things are.

So what are the odds that if a vaccine is ready in January around the time Biden is inaugurated it becomes a mainstream Republican idea that COVID was a ploy all along by the democrats to sink the economy so they would win the election.

 

That’s most definitely going to happen, sadly.

 

This may be a dick thing to say, but I am very fucking sick of the news articles being written about people dying from this after doing something completely stupid that are written and framed in a way that is supposed to make you feel bad for them. Like the youngish guy in Texas who's last words to the nurse right before he died were something like 'oh man I thought this whole thing was a hoax, I think I made a mistake'. Or the middle ageddiabetic guy who just got tired of socal distancing and went to a party where some other fucking idiot who had covid and knew he had it but thought he wasn't contagious because he didn't have symptoms and ended up dying of this. I am fucking sick of it. There is too much information and science out there at this point. If you still want to believe that someone is hoaxing this or that masks are a bullshit conspiracy or that none of this is real than that is on you and I just hope you die before infecting anyone else. Too fucking dangerous to other people at this point. I just feel bad for children of these people who are too young to be making decisions for themselves.
