Fair enough points. I think Chelsea's back line is a mess, one that Conte would do well to even tighten up. Kante obviously helps in an indirect way, his ball winning and retention should put less pressure on their back four.

I like Liverpool's attack well enough, if Sturridge can retain remote fitness throughout the season. When they gel, their front line is very mobile and fluid. Klopp has done well to sign those two, given they're speed and counter attacking nature. They're quite weak in the middle of the park, too me. Could and should've signed a CM to partner Henderson, or else I'm afraid they'll be torn apart in the center of the pitch.

Here now, @Nick, we're not talking about Lingard.

I agree with points about Spurs depth, and also think their inexperience will show.

As well as not believing United's problems are fixed with signing Pogba. I'm not worried about our back line, as much as I am worried about playing Paul in a midfield 2 with a 35 year old Carrick. Not to mention an immobile Rooney playing behind a 34 year old Zlatan who likes to drop deep.

  4. United to just hoof it to zlatan constantly imo

Long balls that Zlatan overheads in the net. Every time.

  6. Spurs depth will definitely be an issue with CL and the cups. But I don't think the inexperience will be as debilitating as others do. We are bringing back the same starting XI and that continuity will be huge. While other teams are throwing out huge sums of cash to form a team, we already have a pretty solid one.

The backbone of Hugo-Toby-Vertonghen-Dier is unmatched by any other team in the PL. But we do need to add some more depth in the midfield to last the entire season.

Lingard is shit, but he puts in a shift. Wijnaldum doesn't.

And nobody has ever thought Lingard is the best player ever :-p

Wijnaldum was amazing for me in fantasy two seasons ago. It's probably why I think decently of him.

they already have a partner for henderson in can. they also have grujic who looked terrific in the preseason and wijnaldum who's playing there. ovie ejaria's a kid to look out for too.

Well, my internal sense of timing is off, but... even in relegation, he scored a lot of fantasy points for me.

Actually forgot about Can. I think that because he's been used as a bit of a utility man for club and country that I didn't think of him.

As an Arsenal fan, and considering my captain, changed my team name to Alexis Of Fire.

    Sadly so.
I never used to be much into football until a few years ago, but my little brother has always been a massive Arsenal fan, and my ex was a big Arsenal fan as well, so whenever there was a game on, I'd always watch it with one of them, and through that got into football, so it made sense to support them. Despite the fact they can't win anything...

Ah awesome, well I guess that makes sense. To be fair I'm a Blackburn fan so can't really comment on winning things (02 being our last trophy). I only chose them because they were good at the time (which seems a long time ago now it was 20 years ago...fuck )
