Great to know! I typically use ThriftBooks a lot for books I can’t find at my used book store.

If you have local libraries that are opening back up soon, a lot have little store sections where books are usually $3 or less (usually less at the ones I've been to).

It's much, much better ...and the movies were fine.

The book just has everything. It's the quintessential coming of age, horror story.

Yep I would say the book is much better, but I’m bias because I read the book first.

There’s some backstories the movies couldn’t possibly have time to dive into.

...loaded question for me because the movies are a masterpiece just like the book. But yes, the book is better, which is in no way shape or form a knock on the films.

The IT movies do an admirable job of getting the point of the book across. The book is just a classic.

Reading On Writing. Good stuff. I still haven’t finished IT lol, and I left my copy at school. Maybe I’ll order another copy or try to find a bundle of King books on Ebay next.

I listened to the audiobook of IT and loved it. It's long but worth it

Only thing I regret is when I read IT, it wasn’t all all once.

I started it in August, read about 6-700 pages, and then got too busy with grad school.

Like 4 months later (or honestly maybe longer?) I read the rest of it. Still LOVED it!

Made my first video and it’s a little tour of my Stephen King shelf! Please excuse the fact that I can’t hold my phone steady with one hand haha.

I’m currently making my way through Dreamcatcher and admittedly keep getting distracted while I read so I’m a little lost on what’s going on.

I was looking at my shelf of like 55 Stephen King books (half read/half unread) and decided to go with Bag of Bones next! I feel like this one isn’t talked about much, but I’m about 200 pages in and loving the build.

Every time I take a breather from his novels and join back in I always am reminded nobody can bring me into the setting & characters with as much detail as him.

Good guy, but a bad dude

One of my personal favorites. Indeed, I felt like that little section of rural Maine was so well realized.

  14. Bag of Bones was the second King book I read and is still one of my favorites.

That’s top 5 for me. I adore it. Also one of the worst adaptations of his work, so avoid the TV movie at all costs

I was excited for it, felt like Pierce Brosnan was going to be a perfect fit for the character but it was just plain bad.

Oh yeah, I’m pretty sure my posts before it came out were super pumped. Such a let down.

I have Bag of Bones but still need to read it. Maybe I'll do that after The Stand.

Listening/reading The Stand during this time in our world's history seems downright psychopathic to me. But do you, booboo.

Currently reading Black House and need to have it done by Tuesday. Just when I think I’m going to get ahead on King reading, I end up super behind.

Bag of Bones was so good

I guess I need to revisit The Stand, because I've forgotten enough of it that every time someone makes a reference to it it goes over my head

Listened to Misery for the first time a couple weeks ago, very good

Reading Skeleton Crew currently. Then, I know it’s not King, but Imaginary Friend soon
