I've been meaning to check out some of their other albums but I've been spinning this a ton. I love it

 

finally getting around to this. still thinkin is such a huge tune. those flutes!

 

climbing the ladder is the kind of tune that only they can do this well

the bones of the song are fairly standard but only they can do stuff like the tempo change and the wild solo

Once a week I take some good headphones to a nearby park and walk the trails at dusk while this is going. It's a nice highlight during these groundhog days.

 

My fiancee and I rented a three-bedroom in New Paltz, NY for all of July since we spent four months quarantined in a Brooklyn one-bedroom and needed a sanity break.

I've spun The Waterfall II front-to-back while swimming in the pool a handful of times. Great summer vibes record for sure.

It Still Moves, Z, and Evil Urges are all classics! I'd highly recommend those as well as the Monsters of Folk record Jim James did w/ Conor Oberst and M. Ward

Monsters of Folk album sounds like something I would've avoided like the plague back in '09 but could very much be up my alley now. Excited to check that out

 

I tried Monsters of Folk a few times but can't make it more than 2 or 3 songs in. I'll need to revisit it

I did just start spinning Z and it's fantastic so far. Only 3 songs in but really digging them all a lot so far

 

Apologies for the triple post but I love Z. I wish I checked this out years ago but this is going to occupy my weekend.

Very excited to spend more time with this in the coming days

Z is a damn BEAST.

 

Z is what got me into them. someone had wordless chorus playing on the kitchen stereo of restaurant I worked at back in college. i bummed the cd from him that night and played it non stop for a full week. came outta nowhere in the best way.

 

I listened to Z on and off and mostly enjoyed it for several years before I heard Okonokos and the live version of OBH left my jaw on the floor. That made me check out It Still Moves which has been one of my all time favorites ever since
