  3. woof. that looks amazing. no idea how I would justify it though. I'd have to ditch my current box set and save like crazy.

I enjoy the documentaries more than the Friday films themselves. Weird flex, I know.

$160 is soooo much lol. The set that I have now is absolute garbage and I love the idea of having all the OG artwork on there. Special Features are pretty boring so far, but the new transfers and the box rule.

That’s really cool. However, I have this stigma in my head from previous box sets I’ve bought that once a new movie in a franchise gets released, it’s now obsolete ;(

I know that’s not really the case but it’s just how I feel.

The sheer amount of content in the set justifies the price imo, definitely wanna get it but damn is it pricey.

Pulled the trigger on it. Got an error when it was processing. My credit card was charged but I got no confirmation from them that the purchase went through. Sweet.

Judging by what I’ve seen, this is gonna be a hard one to get. Damn.

  10. The more I think about it, the harder time I have justifying spending $160 on 12 films I already own. Pretty interesting (and not as bad when you realize) the cost averages out to $13 a film, though

edit: yeah, probably not a decision I'll have to make myself anyways lol

Yeah, it's a steal in terms of price per film, but I already own the shitty box set and can't really justify paying that much.

Which set do you have? I got the Blu Ray one with the first 8 movies on 6 discs

I have the Paramount BD set as well. The big sell to me is the features, as I am a long time special and supplemental features nerd and a lot of the features scream out my name. I do feel the justification pinch though, it’s my favorite horror franchise getting a gorgeous box set but it’s pricy and I have most of the movies already.

  16. Yeah, I have the first eight in that DVD box set (I believe mine is eight discs though) and the rest on individual, mostly used, DVDs. Goes to Hell, Jason X, and Freddy vs Jason were harder to track down that I thought. I think my Jason Goes to Hell still has a DVD rental sticker on it, which is kinda fun.

  17. Anywhere I can stream Jennifer's Body? That sounds like something I'd enjoy now

According to JustWatch it’s streaming on Starz or through DirecTV or you can rent it for $4 on all the normal rental services.

Honestly I’ve been dying to get some sort of set for the Scream franchise. Feel like there never really was one unless I missed it. I’ve searched quite a bit but never came up with anything outside of a European 4 disc basic set.

would also love one for Halloween.

  20. The 10-film Halloween blu-ray set was the first franchise boxset I purchased and I couldn't be happier with it!

Jealous. I knew they’d done some years back but I didn’t grab them foolishly. I guess now I’d love one including the newest film/films (if it were next year.)

  22. In that case, you'll have to wait until at least 2022 for Halloween Ends! My OCD is at least happy with the box set ending between reboots. I don't mind purchasing the new ones separately.

Something about the young woman in The Beach House bothered me so it took me out of the film a bit, but it's always nice hearing Jake Weber try to do an American accent and overall not a bad idea for a creature horror.

I rather enjoyed The Beach House, especially the trippy scenes. I'm honestly fascinated by the ocean and little coastal towns so mixing that setting with some Lovecraft vibes was fun to see.

and wow @ that F13 set.
