It’s a pretty obvious side effect of everyone trying to get their piece of the pie instead of actually caring about us the customer. Amazon continues to pour money into their content so it makes sense they’d block ease to other content. I just wish they’d use some of that money to make a UI that works. I don’t quite get Roku’s game, though.

 

Man, I legit curse at Bezos using Amazon’s UI, like y’all have that much money in your coffers and you can’t make a UI that doesn’t feel janky?

 

Amazon also apparently blocked any way to watch Twitch on roku

I want to wait to use HBO Max until it's on Roku so I only need to figure it out once but I don't know how long that's gonna be

 

Yeah if they don’t have it set up when the Go app dies I’m going to lose it.

 

I just cast from my phone to my TV for HBO max.

 

What We Do In The Shadows is hilarious. It reminds me of the earlier years of The Office back when it was just a super awkward workplace comedy, then combined with the ridiculousness of being vampires lol

 

Yeah I just use a Chromecast for HBO Max. Super annoying but it gets the job done for now

 

I should probably get a Chromecast but for only one app that annoys me.

 

I have one but once I got a Roku TV, it was game over for it.

 

I haven’t looked into any of that stuff. What’s the purpose of Roku, Firesticks, etc.

 

My vizio TV has casting built in it’s super easy.

 

Basically turning a non-Smart TV into one where you are able to use streaming apps through your tv.

I’m all about the Apple TV when it comes to streaming devices.

 

Yeah, I’ve used Apple TV’s for like five years now and they’re excellent and reliable.

 

My TV is branded to Roku which I normally love but in this case it means I’m also completely out of luck unless I buy a separate product to use this app.

 

Same here. Its super annoying since I have a roku in every room. Hopefully they will figure something out sooner rather than later.

 

Sounds like Peacock is going to not be on Roku or Firestick when it launches on Wedensday. I feel like launching without those deals is going to hurt both HBO and Peacock in the long run. I don't like using my PS4 to stream content so it's a bit of a detour for me.

 

Same. I don’t mind since it’s also my Blu Ray player but I loathe having to use the controller with its touchy ass triggers.

 

HBO will be fine but Peacock definitely is gonna feel a pinch. Especially since it’s already got a weak lineup to begin with.

 

Season 2 of Hannibal is so much better than season 1. I can’t believe any of this aired on NBC though. It’s so gory.

 

Is it just me or are all these separate streaming services kinda making it like you just have another cable bill?
