I got to my local B&N not even 30 minutes after they opened and an employee said 9 people had already come and gone for the sale, all the copies of Portrait of a Lady on Fire were gone when I got there.

I'm sure I'll be back into the store before August 2nd.

 

Wish Godzilla in that form was available over here in the UK but even so, getting the Showa-era Collection from Criterion for £150 is still tempting as hell despite that massive price tag.

 

My small haul lol, had to get Female Trouble too when I saw it.

 

Well, nice choice I gotta say.

 

If they had the Showa collection at my store I was going to grab it in a heartbeat. I want that set so bad.

 

My store had 3 of the Godzilla sets. Those suckers are GINORMOUS

 

I own way too many Blu-ray and DVDs considering I use absolutely none of them.

I have this portable projector that works off of microSD cards and I think I'm going to rip some DVDs to my computer and store them on my projector so I can watch anime seasons, Rush Hour and Hot Fuzz on the side of my house.

 

The only thing stopping me is that I know I can physically get my hands on them via a rental subscription service I am subscribed to, if I like enough of the films then I probably will get it.

 

The price is the only thing that has me hesitant, but I feel like it is definitely something worth owning. Especially since my wife loves Godzilla, but until recently has only seen the Roland Emmerich version and the 2014 film and it's sequel.

 

Oh definitely, especially if you divide the price by how many films are in the collection. Just going to wait and see how many I like and go from there also don't speak of that abomination from the nineties haha.

 

Hey when I saw that in theaters at the very impressionable age of 7 I thought that movie was awesome haha. That being said seeing what Japan thinks of that is amazing. I fully acknowledge how bad it is now. She still makes me watch it from time to time though. *cringe*

 

It is one of those films that I never want to see ever again, the script alone makes me want to turn inside out haha.

Godzilla (2014) and Godzilla: King of the Monsters are both great. You hater.

 

Went back today and got Blue Velvet + Dazed & Confused

 

I've been debating all day if I should go back today to just wait till Friday when I get paid. Very conflicted.

Oh it’s a very hard movie to watch, no denying that.

 

That's pretty much all I've ever heard. There's a lot I can handle, but that just feels like too much. But one of these days I'll try to sit through it.
