My moms favorite album was American Idiot

 

I know we’ve moved on twice now at least but Viva La Vida is a straight-up great record. Chinese Sleep Chant is my favorite thing they’ve done probably, oddly enough, and I wish they explored that side of their influences more.

 

We should change this to a mom music appreciation thread. My mom listened to a lot of Bonnie Raitt and Linda Ronstadt.

They are a constant source of disappointment for me. I love that record so much, and they've just gone increasingly downhill ever since. V is one of the records from the 2010s that I hate most.

 

My moms favorite artists are Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac, but lately all she plays is Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish and Kacey Musgraves

My mom loves Kid Rock, I'm very grateful I didn't get my music taste from her

 

My mom would always listen to U2, Rush, Matchbox Twenty, Fleetwood Mac, and Elton John when I was a kid. Not too bad. She also liked blink despite not wanting us to listen to some of the lyrics. My dad was Zeppelin, Sabbath, Van Halen, Nirvana, The Police, etc.

 

My mom’s favorites are the Beatles, Paul Simon and Joni Mitchell.

She also plays guitar and sings. She rules.

 

My mom listened to Whitney Houston, Patti Smith, and tons of French 90's R&B, the latter of which I only remembered once I stumbled upon that one dusty box with obscure cassettes and CDs. Influential mom.

The fuck did Keane ever do to anyone? All they’ve done is make consistent strong records without fail for 12-ish years. Legit a better run than a lot “cooler” bands ever manage.
