Oasis songs are also fun to play along with on the ol' geetar too and good for learning chords.

 

I remember living in England when Whats the Story came out and it was quite a big thing if I recall correctly.

 

it's one of the three highest selling studio albums ever there, so yes

 

i don't even like the doors but the reference to them in this rules

 

other than the time I "discovered" Wonderwall I don't think I've ever intentionally listened to Oasis

 

lots of hurt feelings today. i’m feeling all of them.

 

Not sure I'd rank Oasis in top three manchester bands though.

 

i’m obviously biased but i can see an argument for them being third. idk if i could go outside of the top 3

 

I like both bands, but let's get real 1975 is nowhere near Oasis levels.

 

Anyway, Oasis is great. Best band from Manchester by far. "I Hope, I Think, I Know" is their best song. I'm completely fine if they never reunite.

i personally am. stone roses and the smiths are the ones with legit cases though.

Blur is definitely better than Oasis, sorry. Love me some Oasis, but Blur eclipses them.

oasis have two great albums, a bunch of great b-sides, and... a rest of their discography

i even think the last two oasis records were them finding their way again, but like... they're ok, for the most part

 

i talked about this at length with craig jenkins a few weeks ago. blur is damon’s third best project lol. sorry not reading replies.

 

every one of their albums except heathen chemistry is underrated. and that one is adequately rated.

 

first time i’ve seen that take from someone who wasn’t merely turned off by how much of a jackass one or both of the gallaghers are/were

i don't think you have any perspective about your favorite band, which is fine, my favorite band was the smashing pumpkins for instance

 

they’re definitely jackasses. noel’s personality is the biggest annoying point to the band
