It’s 100% to take votes from Biden. He can run as republican and then you’ll see those who are in the middle or lean right but aren’t voting trump then vote for him now instead of Biden.

It still surprises me that people read all these grand motives into everything he does when he's plainly just been winging it for the best part of a decade. I don't believe he really has any intention if following through on this whatsoever.

That said, 2020 continues to make a mockery of how anything "should" work, so yeah fuck it he'll win in a landslide. Big Bird from sesame Street will be his VP.
