BrokeNCYDE Releasd a New Song Called "stayNCYDE" and 2020 Somehow Keeps Getting Worse

 

Wow. This is incredible. It could really happen this time.

Also I really like that idea of calling them the Washington Redtails.

 

I got convinced to go to my 3 year old nieces first dance recital tonight despite my better judgement. My sister told me it would be no more than 20 people at a time in a big 2k+ venue all groups separated 6+ feet apart, everyone in masks. We'd wait outside in our cars until they call us when it was time for her class to perform. She said they're the first group up so they'd do one song and we'd leave. I'm not thrilled but I agree because that plan seems fair.

I text my sister when my mom and I get to the venue. She tells us they're already about to start so we should just meet her inside. Inside there is probably over 600 people. Zero distancing, only about 50% of them are wearing masks. At this point I'm furious and I'd consider leaving but she's going to be the first group up so I might as well stay. we find an area thats... as far away from people as possible but there were so many people that it wasn't possible to be 6 feet away from anyone. We end up sitting through 8 groups, an intermission, and 2 more groups before her class hits the stage. The whole time there were people coughing and sneezing like crazy. She dances for 2 minutes. It's adorable. We leave.

I'm so upset and I feel like I've been tricked into doing something very dangerous that I've actively been speaking out against for months now. My mom is very high risk and we just lost our dad last year. My sister is normally a smart person but she's shown multiple times throughout this whole pandemic that she's not taking it too seriously and has basically become a "the economy is more important" person.

I'm having a very hard time believing my sister wasn't intentionally misleading us about the safety measures in order to get my mom to go. My faith in humanity is at an all time low. I feel like I need to quarantine and get tested but I think I'm just in shock at the sheer recklessness and irresponsibility to think clearly right now.

We're so fucked.

Probably because I was an idiot that wanted to keep the name, lol. I think because I preferred Warriors and I thought it seemed like people were forcing a way to keep it HTTR/Red something.

That’s awful. I’ve been in several situations like that, dipping my toe into the social waters, going to small events with like-minded, mostly left leaning people who mock others for not taking the pandemic seriously. They promise all the safety measures, then there’s no masks, distancing, anything. It really sucks. I feel like no one can be trusted when it comes to events right now.

 

I'm refusing to basically do anything with anybody and I frankly don't give a shit what family or friends think of it. I know her parents and my mom are sick of it but, sorry, all of you are going out into the world and getting exposed, so you're not coming any closer to my kid than the glass stormdoor between you and him.

You're not wrong...our daughter is 3, just had her dance recital in an outdoor amiptheater. They kept dancers apart, and only parents could attend. It was at a huge park, so while you're waiting it was easy to socially distance form others, then on a megaphone they'd announce the next group and parents would rotate in and out of the section in front of the stage. Worked great, felt safe, and everyone was required by the dance studio to have a mask on. They also did a facebook live so family/friends could watch at the same time. In Idaho, this is certainly a positvie exception, as most here are not wearing masks and positive cases are almost quadruple what they were a month ago...Boise just started requiring masks in public spaces for the first time...smh

 

Like Trump got away being a total racist shitbag by going into celebrity mode. Tucker would just do the same thing but with the attitude and personality of that weird guy in class who gives you the creeps and has the same politics of his ultra conservative parents.

 

Valid points. I guess I would think of tucker as a little smarter than trump to not play the game of accidentally winning the presidency.

 

So a bunch of my doctor friends on Facebook have been posting q anon and other right wing conspiracy theories. A lot of it boils down to them being annoyed that patients can't come to the office due to social distancing protocols and thus, less money for them.
