Ya know, I just signed up for this today after being away from Spotify for over 2 years. Coming back from Apple Music is a nightmare. Spotify redesigned the UI since I left, and it is abysmal. Having to separately "like" albums and songs, and then having to "follow" artists is not something that I like. I wish I could browse by artist and have their albums nested within. Searching and browsing takes too long how it is now. I dunno, maybe it's just because it's new to me, but I really REALLY hate it right now.

How about a discounted single plan for listening to sad lonely songs?

My wife would be all over this if it could ever be an option to download music from Spotify onto an Apple Watch. Still waiting!

I have such a kinship with Spotify, though I loathed it coming from Rdio, which is still the best interface and tool I'd ever used to consume music. It was absolutely gorgeous and effortless. Recently, I took the plunge thanks to three free months from Verizon on Apple Music and it's much better now that they've bumped everything out of iTunes except songs. iTunes was essentially unusable for me for the last four years.

I used this software to migrate all my playlists: it didn't take the folders they were in and I know it missed a few songs, but I also like the ability to add my iTunes B-sides back to a playlist.

Much like your wife, whoever figures out how to do remote storage on Apple Watch is gonna get my business long-term. I have too many playlists I would sync on there for running or hiking that I still need my phone for, and I don't like buying from iTunes to do it. Apple watch has the edge right now because I can buy something on Bandcamp and load into iTunes, saving me money and giving the artist a bigger cut. If Spotify could figure that out, I would stick with their stupid interface but not actually be happy.

Hey, @Jason Tate, here's your next project. I know this is the bane of your existence. Get this figured out and let us give you all our money.

  6. Is this worth switching from the $14.99 family plan? Since only us 2 use it...hmmm decisions
