Guess I’m listening to BOATS on the way home. Record is almost flawless

Also I think I’ve said this before but Real Friends ‘Composure’ is the best TSL record that TSL never wrote.

    I miss them

I thought Real Friends sucked, was I wrong? Prove me wrong with some songs off that album

  4. Do you like songs with good choruses and a decent singer with listenable production? If yes, they aren’t for you. :-p

Also Real Friends is a good band if you think bringing JJR’s band on tour is cool

From the Outside is comparable to Best of Me probably, but it's a little too simplistic compared to the rest of TSL. I enjoy earlier Real Friends, they have a lot of material but also the woe is enjoyable but repetitive. Love both bands, but there's a charm and snark that TSL has that Real Friends kind of doesn't.

Totally listening to TSL on the way to work this morning.

When I said Autography might be my favourite on the album, I was actually thinking of Artistic License, but the same is true for Autography as well. Truly what a perfect album!

The last Real Friends album was great, far better than any of their previous work. The trite lyrics are still a huge drawback for me, but the songs are very tight and catchy. I think it most closely compares to Direction

Honestly I still think Say It Like You Mean It is my favourite from them but the production brings it down a bit for me these days. I’d love a remaster.

I’d be 100% down for that.

Crazy that album was so long ago and yet Kenny is only 36.

Yeah Say It Like You Mean It is also perfect to me. Even though I don’t love Direction as much as the first two albums, I really think they have a perfect discog

For sure. There’s no weak spot to be found and each album gives you a different look at what they offer (same for both EPs). This is one band where I honestly don’t think I could possibly rank their releases.

The coolest thing in listening to each album too is that they're completely steps in a different direction while their sound never leaves itself on an island. Puns intended.

Damn, that interview of STL and Cartel on the warped cruise was removed. That interview was amazing.

  21. I’ll never forget the first time I heard SILYMI or that first summer I spent with it. It was just so clear early on that these guys had something that most of their contemporaries didn’t. Not a perfect album by any means, but a hell of a way to come out swinging.

    Let it run Supporter

There is a Vasoli Electric truck on my street (that may legitimately be related to Ken) and every time I drive by I think of this band
