As someone born and raised in Indiana I am offended and I also get it. haha.

...also I'm never going back there.

 

Now that I think about it, writing an album about indiana could make for a great exploration on all of the reasons that you wanted to be somewhere else.

 

I’m from Southern Michigan so I can’t look down on you all too much, ha. There’s a lot of overlap in the Venn Diagram

If we limit it to the "official" albums that have been every five years since Illinoise then I think I like each new record a bit more than the one that came before it, so C&L is my favorite obviously

 

Woke up thinking today was Friday. Got my headphones, booted up the laptop, checked streaming platforms...then I realized I was a day early. You can imagine my discontent.

 

Apparently Ariana Grande was also an inspiration for this album and I would be so down for a collab with the two of them.

Wow. America is great, it's exactly what I wanted but not quite what I expected. My Rajneesh might even be better, if this is a B-side then the album is gonna be LIT. Major All Delighted People vibes up in here.

 

Ya this is exactly what I want in new Sufjan. His collab earlier in the year wasn't near as good as this.
