Finally listened to “Experiment On Me” and I would totally be down for more of this style from her.

 

FUCK. Opening your concert with EOM is a baller move.

something's happening with the 5 year anniversary of Badlands

 

Yeah, so I got this text:

"I don't have much time. I'll leave instructions on VisitBadlands.com ... but hurry."

So I went to the site, and called the number on the page, and it had someone whispering "keep running" in the background, so I put KEEPRUNNING in as the passcode when the site prompted me to answer "do you hear me" and that got me to a page saying "5 Years is a long time"

 

Excited for whatever it is. Album means a lot to me and I have a lot of nostalgia for that era. Saw her 4 times during that album cycle.

 

I've never listened to Badlands before. Only got into her about a year ago with 11 Minutes, Nightmare and now Manic.
I'm long over due to give it a listen this weekend.

 

It's very much a product of it's time, and songs like New Americana & Strange Love are painfully 2014-tumblr, but it has some genuinely amazing songs, and will definitely go down in history as an iconic album.

Colors, Young God, & Roman Holiday are absolutely breathtaking.
